In 2011 Pat Farmer ran from pole to pole. Davson was both the official artist and also the first artist to be a significant sponsor of an international sporting event. The event took place across 14 countries. Tribulations reflects some of the challenges the runner and the artist faced in the lead-up to this world record making Pole to Pole run from the North Pole to the South Pole through the Americas.

A dream-like perspective floats between the real and unreal. The design of the work is cyclic. The structure can only exist upon trust, as the gifts and their attendants are situated on leaves that have grown from an item placed upon one of the leaves. Without trust, all would return to the sea, and the magical ambiguous balances and separations that assist all to flourish would disappear

Living Freedom came into existence through the artist dialling a wrong number to a company about which she had no previous knowledge. So she enquired about the company. This secured a meeting with Cheryl Matthews, the Executive Secretary of Mortgage Finance Australia Ltd, which led to the commission to create two paintings for the company foyer.
Created in support of the endangered birds at Barron Grounds Sanctuary near Bowral in NSW. Commissioned in 2001 for the collection of Graham and Jenny Buchan, Sydney, NSW, the artist agreed to donate half the value of the painting to Barron Grounds for the preservation endangered birds
Created to hang in the square building featured in the work. The majority of this painting was created with Sharon painting in public, in the foyer of the State Office Building in Sydney in 1986. Hung in exhibitions in Sharon’s First Impression Gallery, Sydney, until delivery to the Pittwater Village in early 1988.
